  Chapter 9 – Into the flowing waters kingdom     I woke up around 1 am , saw a sky full of clouds , went back to bed and again fall asleep , woke up few hours later and stayed in bed until i saw some sign of light in the sky (around 6:30 am) , after breakfast and equipped with what i had to protect me from the cold (jacket, hat, gloves) , i left towards the lion’s cave , another famous tourist spot in São Thomé , when i got there , i saw a couple leaving , i imagine that they were about to wait/photograph the sunrise , which was already completely above the horizon. After several photos in the lower part of the cave , which actually looked like a narrow hole on a huge rock , i decided to climb to its roof , with a little difficulty and cautiously , within 10 minutes i was at the top taking photos and looking for a place to rest.   Capítulo 9 – No Reino das águas correntes     Despertei por volta de 1 da manhã , vi um céu repleto de nuvens , retornei para cama para tentar dormir , voltando a despertar algumas horas depois fiquei na cama até ver algum sinal de luminosidade no céu (por volta das 6:30 horas) , após o café da manhã e equipado com o que tinha para me proteger do frio (jaqueta , gorro , luvas) , saí rumo a toca do leão , outro famoso ponto turístico de São Thomé , quando cheguei lá , ví um casal saindo , imagino que ali estavam para esperar / fotografar o nascer do sol que já se mostrava completamente acima da linha do horizonte. Após várias fotos na parte baixa da toca que na verdade me parecia uma gruta com entrada bem estreita , decidi subir no seu teto , com um pouco de dificuldade e de forma cautelosa em 10 minutos eu estava no topo fazendo fotos e procurando um lugar para descansar.   Chapter 8 – Same place , brand new me     Yesterday the time i woke up was labeled as super early at around 3 am , i don’t know what word i can use to classify today’s situation. At 0:54 am i was standing up , after looking at the sky , taking a look at the cell phone to find out the time. I drank some water and went back to bed. In few minutes i fall asleep and when i woke up again my cell phone read 5:40 , the whole experience yesterday made me want to go back to the cave of holed stone in the morning and since a splendid event took place yesterday in the late afternoon , i imagined that the sunrise there could be another unforgettable experience , due to the time (it had to be quick) i went fasting , i only took water and tea in my backpack and hurried through the streets of São Thomé towards my destination.   Capítulo 8 – Mesmo lugar , novo eu             Se ontem o horário que despertei foi classificado como super cedo por volta das 3 horas , não sei que palavra posso utilizar para classificar a situação de hoje , às 0:54 horas estava eu de pé , após olhar para o céu , dei uma conferida no celular para saber o horário. Tomei uma água e retornei para a cama , rapidamente voltei a dormir e quando acordei novamente o celular marcava 5:40 horas , toda a experiência sentida ontem me fez querer voltar a toca da pedra furada agora pela manhã e já que um acontecimento esplendoroso se fez presente ontem no fim da tarde , eu imaginei que esperar o sol aparecer lá poderia ser outra situação inesquecível , devido ao horário (tinha que ser rápido) eu fui em jejum , levei apenas água e chá em minha mochila e saí apressado pelas ruas de São Thomé rumo ao meu destino.   Chapter 7 – At home      Once again i woke up super early (3:20 am) , i got up , looked at the starry sky , drank some water and this time i decided to go back to bed where i thought about what would wait for me this morning? I ended up dozing off and when i looked again to check the time it was already around 5. After breakfast , i went to my morning duties (writing) and to the supermarket to buy what i needed. I spent most of the morning trying to arrange a transfer to the Devil’s Canyon waterfall complex as yesterday’s experience showed me that it wasn’t worth walking. I ended up not being able to make the arrangement because until then the price charged was (in my opinion) abusive. The brief frustration quickly gave way to acceptance and dedication to domestic issues: washing clothes , cleaning the house and preparing lunch.
